Oujiman (former Wagauji) is located in Tsuruoka, Yamagata, Japan. This brewery is established in 1724, however, in 2009,  this brewery gave up to continue brewing Sake due to its financial problem and a lack of successors. They could not brew their traditional brand name “Oujiman”.

But, they were supported by the other brewery who is located in Yamagata prefecture because this brewery has long history. In 2012, they started to brew Sake again from the small production volume, just 300 石 (koku).

In 2017, new brand name “Wagauji” was released by young generation team, and currently younger team took over this brewery and continue to brew “Wagauji” brand.
